Okay, Sara Ella is a literary genius! From the britishisms to the character names, I was enthralled by the creativity of this book. It’s like Harry Potter meets Hunger Games with a sprinkle of Inception. I’ve never read or watched anything Alice in Wonderland, but I still got excited when I recognized an Easter egg. Every time I saw one I had to pause and think, “THAT is a clever twist.”

Chess is my favorite character, and I can relate to Alice, too. Chess’ quirkiness is charming, and Alice’s talents are so fun to read about. Wonderland itself was a little confusing when I first tried to envision its wacky functions, but I soon got over it the more I read.

I cannot wait to read book 2 and delve more into Sara Ella’s Wonderland!
