Mammoth - Brian McBride

★★★★★

Fossils, murder, and a mystery scrubbed from history … not everything is as it seems.

Named after a paleontological discovery, Mammoth is home to the Jailbirds: Tommy, Jude, Mars, and Maya. But when a powerful storm unearths a hidden bunker, the Jailbirds begin to question history itself.

Brian McBride is a talented writer. Mammoth is filled with expertly described action scenes, poetic narrative, and complex, relatable characters with a lot of depth.

I wasn’t sure if this genre was my type, but after seeing so much praise, I was excited to buy it. And I’m glad I did! It was a rollercoaster of a ride, and I finished it quickly.

With National Treasure and Indiana Jones vibes, this is a book adventure readers must have on their shelf!
