Broken Crown - Sabrina Lozier
★★★★★
Nursery rhymes just got dark and deadly, and I am HERE for it!
Jack and Jill are royalty, Miss Muffet controls spiders, Bo Peep is a shepherdess of monsters, and Humpty Dumpty is a cursed glass soldier. Need I say more of this genius?!

Sabrina Lozier has woven a captivating story from a source I NEVER would have thought could be exciting. The twists on the classic nursery rhyme characters are epic, as are the Easter eggs sprinkled throughout.
David is my favorite character because I’m a sucker for a tormented boi. The Humpty Dumpty spin is awesome.
The characters each embark on their own missions, each with distinct arcs, and intertwining their paths was very well done. And the plot twists are the cherry on top!
Sabrina Lozier’s writing is delicious; many times I read a line and thought, “Oooh that was GOOD!” She writes emotion with such poetic vividness, that the scenes bloom to life.
Stunning debut. There better be a sequel!!!
